Last Sunday, Aug 21st, was the Club's Monthly Driving Event that started in Overland Park & ended at Lake Perry. The weather forecasters were very cooperative & scheduled a beautiful day for a drive through the Kansas countryside. Members recognized the favorable weather conditions & participated in a 75-80 mile drive for the FAST cars & 45+ miles for the Slow cars. A total of 15 cars made the scenic drive with some members seeing parts of Kansas they may have never seen before.
After the enjoyable drive to Lake Perry, a picnic lunch was served at a shelter site over looking the lake. Boaters & motorcyclist were out in force, also enjoying the day, & also admiring the British cars. Our Club's photographer, John Boles, was busy taking a group picture of all the cars & also individual shots of each of the cars. Pictures will be in the web site for everyone to see.
After eating, lots of conversations, & photo shots it was time to head the cars back into an easterly direction for the return trip to the city. More scenic views were available for everyone as they headed home.
Hostess & Hosts were Sue & Ken Robbins, Rosalie & Phil Pitts, Sharon & Bob Andersen.
