The car is a 1960 year model, serial number GHNL 96526, engine number GA-U-H 27726. Currently the car is in a disassembled condition, having been dismantled in anticipation of restoration. This might be a classic "barn find" type car, as it is located in a quonset building in Bertrand, NE, which is in south central Nebraska. The person who owns the car is in the process of moving to Arizona next spring, and has decided this project is more than he is willing to haul south. He indicates the body is fairly straight, the engine and parts are all present but in boxes, there are two extra front fenders in good shape, the bonnet and rear hood/deck are both straight, the doors are good, and the grille is decent but probably in need of cleanup or rechroming.
The owner is Russ Bolm, Bertrand, NE, phone (308) 472-5225 (Russ is a retired
Lutheran minister and has restored a number of British cars in the past). He indicated that he was going to try and take some photos of the car soon, but I have not personally seen it myself, so I make no other representations other than trying to help him find a suitable home for what could be a great buy for someone with the desire to do the rebuild. Russ is not sure of what the value of the car is, but feels it is complete enough to be more than just a "parts car".
