Midwest MGA Club

The Midwest MGA Club was founded in October 1980 at the Annual Lawrence Region AACA Car Show in Lawrence, Kansas. The four charter members were Ron Behm, Walt Crist, Ray Huffman, and Eric Sole and we have grown to a membership of 97. We meet the first Saturday of each month at Winstead's at 103rd and Metcalf in Overland Park, KS at 8:00 AM. We also have a quarterly luncheon at The Olive Garden, 119th & Blackbob.

Club Membership

Anyone interested in British cars (usually the older variety) is welcome to our club. Most members own one or more of these classics, however some join because they have an interest in them. Most members are local, but we have active members in 5 states and in Spain and South Africa. We are the Kansas Chapter for the North American MGA Register.

British Car Celebration at Crown Center

I've attached a flyer and sign up sheet from Mark Short, a member of both our club and the Jaguar Club, for a British Car Celebration at Crown Center on Saturday, May 19 2012. Not only will we have a great place to show our cars to the multitudes but it's FREE!! Also, The Aquarium and Legoland will be available as well as lots of places to eat. There is also a Hospitality Party the night before the show! Check out the 3x flyers attached for all the details and put this date on your calendar! Don't forget to send in your registration form to Mark ASAP.Crown Center Show Page 1 and Crown Center Show Page 2 and Crown Center Page 3. The group plans to caravan to the show. We will meet at 8:00 am this Saturday in the parking lot of the Price Chopper on 103rd Street just east of State Line - it's on the north side of the road about 1/4 mile east of State Line. Departure will be 8:15 to arrive at Crown Center about 9:00. If you can't make it with the group we'll see you there.

Mark your calendars on June 1st and 2nd, 2012 for the 23rd Annual Heartland MG Regional car show and swap in Independence, Missouri. We have returned to the Historic Square in Independence, Missouri for a Saturday of MG excitement. Seventeen different classes for MG owners with a participant favorite best of show as well as a judged best of show. Additional classes for owners of any other type of British car. Friday night cookout at the host hotel, Quality Inn & Suites at 4200 Noland Road Heartland MG_Regional in Independence. Show starts at 9 AM Saturday with trophies, t-shirts, posters, silent auction, & swap vendors.
